Parking

Parking is available outside The Castle House and in the Marketplace. It is free public parking (8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, there are no regulations on Sundays) and a disc is required, which we can loan to you on arrival. This disc allows you two hours free parking within the disc zone.

If you require more time you must move your vehicle after the 2 hours to another street within the zone. A parking leaflet is available in the B&B which outlines the parking zones clearly. If you return to your car after 6pm and change the disc time to 8am then you are good from 8am to 10am the next morning. So you need not worry about moving your vehicle before breakfast.

Alternatively, there are also several pay car parks within easy walking distance that charge £1.80 per hour or £5.40 for 24 hours.

What can you do in Richmond if it rains?

There are whole host of activities and places of interest that will fill your time whether it’s raining or sunny. From The Station (Art galleries, cinema, artisan shops and cafe) to a tour around the oldest Georgian Theatre in the UK to the Richmondshire Museum and not forgetting the cakes and pies in the numerous cafes and cosy log fires in our local cosy pubs.

Unfortunately we do not have a lift and no ground floor bedrooms. There are 14 steps to the first floor.
